Current Royal Mail magnetic requirements

Current Royal Mail requirements are that “According to our Prohibited/Restricted list we do not accept magnetised items with a magnetic field strength of 0.159A/m or more at a distance of 2.1m from the outside of the package.”

We received the following information from our suppliers with reference to our magnetic material.

Certification for non-dangerous goods (non-hazardous)

We hereby certify that above captioned goods are non-hazardous materials for air transportation in any nature. The consignment is fully described by proper condition for carriage by air. We further hereby certify that the consignment is not classified as dangerous under 46 edition of the IATA dangerous Goods Regulation and refer to Page 498 PI.902 all applicable caner and governmental regulations.

The article is not restricted magnetized material, the maximum field strength at a distance of 2.1m (7ft) is less than 0.159A/m (0.002gauss) or there is no significant compass deflection (less than 0.5 degree).
